My Wanderlust Journey

My passion for traveling started when I spent the summer studying abroad in Innsbruck, Austria in 2016 (I even got a tattoo that says ‘wanderlust’ around this time). I fell in love with the European culture and lifestyle. During my 6 weeks abroad I was able to visit numerous cities throughout Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria. I was fascinated by all the architecture, history, and beauty Europe had to offer.

After I graduated college in 2018, I knew I wanted to spend more time traveling abroad, so I spent the summer in Phitsanulok, Thailand teaching English. This was a great way for me to travel affordably, while living in a new place. Staying in a small city in Thailand gave me the opportunity learn about the local culture and food (the chef at the school I taught at even taught the teachers how to make mango sticky rice). Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I was able to travel throughout Thailand and Cambodia - exploring temples, waterfalls, beaches, and even one of the wonders of the world!

I also love exploring new places in the US. I’ve been to 37/50 states, including 2 cross-country road trips, multiple plane rides, and a week-long RV trip.

More recently, I just got home from spending 2 weeks traveling around Bali and 1 week in Cambodia for a mediation and yoga retreat. It has definitely ignited my sense of wanderlust again! Stay tuned for blog posts about these places soon!

My Wellness Journey

My passion for health and wellness started when I was in high school and has evolved drastically throughout the years. I went from strictly counting calories and measuring out portions, eating heavily processed foods that ‘fit into my macros’, to eating and drinking whatever I wanted, to becoming a vegetarian, to becoming a vegan, to now focusing on whole, minimally processed foods. It took me years to figure out what my body needed to feel good and if I’m being honest, I’m still learning everyday and am nowhere near perfect. But to me, that’s what makes it fun! I like listening to my body and learning about the foods that fuel my body and give me energy. I no longer have a label over the way that I eat and that is working for me right now, but it may change in the future and I’m open to that!

Another aspect of wellness that I value is emotional wellness. To me, this looks like doing things that make me happy and bring me joy, spending time with people I love, and being in nature.

When I talk about wellness it’s also important for me to talk about not only what I put into my body, but what I expose myself to and put on my body. Recently, I’ve been on a non-toxic kick and it genuinely brings me joy to find products that are good for me to use. This has all been a learning process for me, but I’m excited to share things I’ve learned that you may find valuable.

Some of my favorite things to do include being out in nature, swimming at the beach, reading a good book, and spending time with my family. I hope you feel inspired to live well and book your next flight!
